About the treatment
Digital X-rays are used to capture enhanced images of your teeth, gums and other oral
structures. These images are used to assess your dental health and help in identifying dental
problems. The images are taken using an advanced digital sensor with a very low level of
radiation.
These X-rays are taken after placing a lead vest across your lap and chest to protect you from
unnecessary exposure to radiation. The X-ray machine is then placed alongside your head which
will capture images of your mouth. The Dentist may ask you to remain still while the images are
being processed and recorded.
