About the treatment
When the dental pulp of a tooth becomes infected or injured, a root canal may be required. The
dental pulp of a tooth is where the connective tissue, nerves and blood vessels are located,
which is why root canals can be painful. In most cases, a root canal can be performed while you
are under local anesthesia.
A root canal is a dental treatment in which the pulp or the soft center of the tooth is removed
after which the inside of the tooth is cleaned and disinfected which is later filled and sealed.
